Easter dress and more summer shirts

I whipped up an Easter dress on Friday and Saturday. It’s an aqua flocked dotted swiss with lining and underskirt of seafoam cotton broadcloth.

I liked it alright, but the underskirt was planned to poke out about 3 inches. Unfortunately, since I usually line my skirts with the finished side of the seam toward the body, I did the same with this dress. Then in hemming I realized I should have reversed it to allow for the poking out. So it had to have a deep hem and only poked out about half an inch. Ah well.

I also finished the hand-sewing for three more summer shirts at a little chatty sewing get-together yesterday. One is a gift. But these two are for sale:

A pretty orange (a fun tiny stripe-and-vine print) one

And this blue one

They’re cotton with the bodice lined in a white-on-white calico. They’re sized to fit anywhere from 2-3, maybe 4. My daughter (the model) turned three in February. She on the skinny side, but she’s also a little tall. I can send you exact measurements if you’re interested but unsure.

It’s my original pattern, with a wrap top and pullover styling. The shirts are $20 plus actual shipping. If you’re interested you can comment or email me at queen (at) turbonet.com.

Hello…I love the Easter dress that you made! My wedding is on Dec 5th, 2008 and I am searching for bridesmaid dresses and a flower girl dress in tiffany blue/aqua swiss dot. Where did you get the fabric from, and would you be willing to make another little girls dress?

    Thanks,
    Krystle
